Mark and Debra Nouss
This fund was established by Mark and Debra Nouss in 2000 to support students with financial need in the College of Journalism and Communications.
Mark is the president of the UF Alumni Association and a board member of both Tampa General Hospital Foundation and Mary Lee’s House in Tampa. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UF in 1981, a juris doctor from UF in 1985, and a master’s degree in law taxation from New York University in 1986. Before taking his current sabbatical from the practice of law, Mark was most recently financial director at JP Morgan Chase in New York. Prior to this, he was special counsel and a tax associate for almost 10 years at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York.
Debra is a former television producer and actress and served on the 13th Annual SAG awards Television Nominating Committee. She worked on the entertainment shows PM Magazine and The Phil Donahue Show before acting on series such as Hearts Afire, Full House and Cheers. She serves on the University of Florida Foundation Board of Directors and the Hillsborough County Regional Council. She is also the current chair of the UF Foundation’s Communications and Public Relations Advisory Council. She graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting in 1981.
Mark and Debra live in Tampa with their three children Jack Henry, Casey and Tallulah.
