Jack Faricy Professorship

University of Florida alumni George W. Etheridge, Jr. and Lisa O. Etheridge along with many former students and family members established this fund in 1996 to honor professor John H. “Jack” Faricy and reward professors who demonstrate outstanding teaching skills.

Born in St. Paul, Minn., Faricy was a distinguished service professor of marketing and former assistant dean for undergraduate programs in the College of Business. He and his wife, Mary, had three children. Faricy passed away in October 1998.
