Diabetes Institute Research Fund
GA(amended): support directors of Center for Immunology and Transplantation in diabetes research.
T. M. Ellis established this fund in 1998, primarily to support diabetes research. The endowment is intended to foster research across the spectrum of basic, applied and clinical sciences which share an interest in human disease related to immunology, mechanisms of disease/pathology and or autoimmunity. Furthermore, the fund seeks to advance multi-disciplinary efforts to address an approach that joins and allows resources on all academic levels, encourages entrepreneurial support and technology delivery, and promotes community participation in academic research.
