David F. and Cynthia A. Davis Endowed Scholarship
Fund Purpose
GA (amended): support scholarship awards to undergraduate students & fellowship awards to graduate students pursuing Master's Degree in Civil and Coastal Engineering; preference to students who are (or were as undergraduates) active & exemplified leadership in a national Greek social fraternity or sorority. Donors' intent is to reward those who have demonstrated active participation in non-academic areas or organizations that are outside of traditional engineering environs. Further, active participation should reflect the applicant's proficiency in leadership and communication abilities.

David F. Davis graduated from UF in 1973 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Davis was the president of Howell F. Davis and Associates, Inc. and held executive positions in several companies and organizations. He was the outreach coordinator for the Southwest Florida Gator Clu
