Karl B. Hanson, Sr., M.D., Professor of Internal Medicine
In honor of great leadership in medical educational, this fund is appropriately named for Dr. Karl B. Hanson, Sr. Dr. Hanson was a practicing physician in Jacksonville and served as chairman of internal medicine at Duval Medical Center as well as St. Luke’s Hospital and Baptist Memorial Hospital. His leadership in internal medicine and medical education led to his appointment as President of the Jacksonville Hospital Educational Program, as a clinical professor of medicine at UF’s College of Medicine, and ultimately as President of the College of Medicine. A contribution to the Hanson Professorship fund will support ongoing professional development for a professor of internal medicine.
