Proposal: support scholarship for HS senior who competes in annual fair & intends to major in marine biology, zoology, oceanography, ocean & coastal engineering, fisheries, aquaculture , seafood technology or social science with marine studies option.

The Florida Sea Grant program provided funding for this scholarship as a memorial to Chuck Skoch, who died in an automobile accident in 1995. The scholarship was established as a part of the annual State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida, in which hundreds of students from around the state participate each year. The Florida Sea Grant College Program is committed to improving the practical use and conservation of coastal and marine resources for a sustainable economy and environment.
