Golf fans and golfers helped establish this endowment in honor of Coach “Buster” Bishop, who led the team to national championships in 1968 and 1973. He was named SEC Coach of the Year from 1973-75. A spirited leader, Coach Bishop retired after many years as a physical education professor and golf coach.
