Support athletic scholarships.
Gator Booster members established this scholarship to honor UF’s first SEC Championship football team. In the 1984 season, the Gators played a record of 9-1-1. Victories included an emotional 27-0 win over Georgia. With a 25-17 win over Kentucky, Gator fans filled the field and UF secured the SEC Title. Also in this season, UF quarterback Kerwin Bell had a passing efficiency that ranked best in NCAA history for freshmen.
Though the 1984 SEC title was later revoked due to a breach of NCAA rules, the Gators retained their status as the outstanding team in the Southeastern Conferenc
