Fund Purpose
GA: Support a chair in diabetes research in the Center for Immunology and Transplantation, Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine in the College of Medicine; chair holder will meet annually with the donors or their representatives to provide annual stewardship reports indicating how the funds were used and how unspent funds will be used during the forthcoming year.

The family of John E. and Helen M. “Peggy” Sebastian in Maitland established this fund in 1998 to provide a professorship for new diabetes research activities for which other funding is not available, in the Center for Immunology and Transplantation, Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine in the College of Medicine. A registered Florida insurance agent, John is president of American Financial Group CTD, JMG.
