Al Warrington IV

This fund was established by Alfred C. “Al” Warrington in 1996 to support business faculty in the Warrington College of Business.

Following his career in public accounting, Mr. Warrington became founding chairman and co-CEO of Sanfill, Inc., an environmental company. He was also a founder of the Atlanta-based health and beauty aids manufacturer, House of Cheatham, Inc. (manufacturers of health and beauty aids). More recently, he was part of an acquisition group that acquired Houston Plating and Coatings, an oil field services company, and Gulf Cost Mechanical, a company that makes air conditioning and generator coils. Prior to this, he retired from the CPA firm Arthur Andersen & Company in 1989 after more than 30 years. During his time at Arthur Andersen, he served in numerous positions, including managing partner of the audit division, practice development head and office managing partner. He is a past president for the UF Alumni Association and Gator Boosters. In 1979, Mr. Warrington was named a UF distinguished alumnus, and in 1985 he was named an outstanding alumnus by the Fisher School of Accounting. In 1996, the University’s Warrington College of Business was named after him. He was inducted into the UF Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003. Mr. Warrington earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UF in 1958. He serves on UF advisory boards for the Warrington College of Business, the Fisher School of Accounting and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Mr. Warrington is also a member of the UF Board of Trustees.

Warrington and his wife, Judy, have two children.
