Birdwell Finlayson, M.D., Ph.D. Research Professorship

Birdwell Finlayson, MD, PhD, was a pioneer in kidney stone research and is one of the most important historical figures in UF Urology. He spent two decades on staff as a professor at UF before his death in 1988. Today, the Finlayson Research Professorship is one of the most honored positions at UF Urology and the expert physician scientist who occupies this professorship is a leader in kidney stone/endourology research.
