Levin, Mabie and Levin Professorships in Law
GA: support professorship in College of Law.
Fredric G. Levin
The Levin, Mabie and Levin professorships were established in 1995 through a land gift from law partners and brothers Fredric and David Levin and the late Lefferts L. Mabie, Jr., of Pensacola. The subsequent sale of the property raised $1.26 million to establish these professorships.
Mabie earned a bachelor’s degree in literary law from the University of Florida in 1948. Fredric Levin earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1958 and a master’s degree in literary law in 1961 from UF. David Levin earned a bachelor’s of literary law from UF in 1952.
In recognition of Fredric G. Levin’s history of support and service to the university and the state of Florida, the college, which has graduated generations of Florida’s leaders in law, business, education and government, was named the Fredric G. Levin College of Law. David Levin passed away on Jan. 7, 2002.
