Letter: support interactive media activities in College; including fellowships, projects involving computerized communications & an annual report to be called "The Lloyd Russell Report" on college computerized communication projects.
In 1995, Lloyd Russell established this fund to support interactive media activities in the College of Journalism and Communications.
Lloyd Russell, a graduate from Miami Edison high school, earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida in 1958. An active member of the Atlanta gay community, both as an activist and a business person, he ran for Lieutenant Governor in 1998, was a board member of Atlanta Pride, was active in Atlanta politics and served as a media activist during the 1960s. He founded the Lloyd E. Russell Foundation, which focuses on providing GBLTQ and leather communities with funding for programs and activities which support the mental and physical health of their members.
