Victor Micolucci Scholarship
GA: support need-based scholarships; preference to students active in professional organizations, community oriented students, orphans and those without parental financial support.
Therese Johnston (daughter of Victor Micolucci)
Victor Micolucci understood the struggles college students face when they are without parental support. An immigrant who spoke no English when he came to the U.S. from Italy at age 7, Micolucci appreciated the opportunities available for education in the United States. Earning a pharmacy degree from Duquesne University in Pennsylvania, he and his family eventually moved to Florida. His three children are UF alumni: Therese (’76) and Anthony (’82) are pharmacy graduates and Victor Charles (’84) is a College of Medicine graduate.
Micolucci sought to help as many students as he could. For several years before his death in late 1993, he helped pharmacy students at UF through his “Pennsylvania Rexall Club” fund. Upon his death, his wife, Terri, and daughter, Therese, endowed this scholarship to continue his legacy of inspiring and assisting students.
