T. Terrell Sessums and Gerald Sohn Professorship in Constitutional Law
Gerald Sohn earned a bachelor’s degree in 1952 and a law degree in 1955 from the University of Florida. A Jacksonville native who joined the Navy after receiving his law degree, he returned to Jacksonville to practice law and open his own private practice there, specializing in negligence, personal injury and wrongful death law. He and his wife, Phyllis, who is a 1962 graduate of UF, have two sons.
His gift reflects his gratitude toward his alma mater. Sohn was inspired to make the gift by his colleague T. Terrell Sessums who had helped established a professorship in constitutional law.
