Guy W. Botts Scholarship Fund
GA: support scholarship awards to students in College of Law; granted to incoming 1st yr law students based on recommendations to dean by Adm Comm; maybe renewed if student maintains minimum GPA established by college.
This scholarship was provided by Guy Warren Botts for the benefit of law students who have shown exceptional potential as undergraduates.
Botts earned his law degree from UF in 1937 and subsequently co-founded the Culverhouse and Botts law firm. He was a former chairman of Barnett Banks and chairman of the board of directors of the Bok Tower Gardens Foundation for over 10 years. When it opened in 1928, Bok Tower Gardens was the first major cultural and natural attraction in central Florida.
Botts passed away in 1993 at the age of 7
