John Pinkerton
This scholarship was created by John C. Pinkerton to assist law students in their pursuit of academic and professional excellence. Pinkerton wanted to help worthy students receive the same benefits and training he had.
After earning his B.A. (1936), L.L.B. (1939) and J.D. (1967) from the University of Florida, Pinkerton practiced law in Sarasota, Fla., for over 50 years. He founded the law firm of Kirk-Pinkerton in the late 40’s. The firm is still active today.
