Fund Purpose
GA: support professorship in Psychiatry and Neuroscience; prof should be psychiatrist recognized as leader in substance abuse, prevention and research; should also have expertise in neuroscience & psychopharmacology applied to substance abuse problems as evidenced by scholarly publications and/or invention of new treatments.

Carter A. Pottash established this fund in 1991 to support a professorship in psychiatry or neuroscience in the College of Medicine.
Pottash is the president and chairman of Stony Lodge Hospital and president of Florida Consultation Services, providing psychiatric and consultation services in Palm Beach, Florida. He is also a clinical professor of psychiatry at New York University and a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
