Alfred M. Kohn Endowed Scholarship
Support scholarships for juniors & seniors majoring in Journalism in College of Journalism & Communications.
Provided by Harry Kohn and Stewart L. Kohn in memory of Alfred M. Kohn, JM 1942, who was killed during World War II while serving as a combat reporter for Stars and Stripes. He was a former St. Petersburg Times reporter. He was with the Army’s 36th Division during the invasion of southern France when he died on August 29, 1944, two days after his 23rd birthday. A student lounge in UF’s Weimer Hall is named in his honor.
