George Graham Hunter Scholarship Fund
A native of England, George Hunter was a winter resident of Gainesville from 1964 until his death in 1972. His primary residence was in New York, N.Y. He was a retired financial executive of Firth Manufacturing Co. In addition to serving as a board member of the Mohasco Carpet Industries during retirement, he owned and operated Hunterston Farms in Archer, Fla., breeding thoroughbred race horses and commercial beef cattle.
