Zimmerman, Kiser & Sutcliffe, P.A. Fall Moot Court Competition Fund
GA: support Fall Moot Court Competition, including the annual reception. Firm's name changed.
The Orlando law firm of Zimmerman, Kiser & Sutcliffe, P.A. supports the University of Florida Moot Court Team and its participants through this endowed fund, which they established in 1988.
The endowment provides the College of Law with finances to hold the annual Moot Court Competition, named for the firms that support it, that is held each fall and spring. The Moot Court competition provides UF law students with an opportunity to argue fictitious cases before federal and state judges. The organization is run by students and includes the opportunity to compete in regional and national competitions.
Ronald A. Sutcliffe Jr., a senior partner in the firm and a 1971 graduate of the Fredric G. Levin College of Law, said, “We decided to support Moot Court because it is one of the outstanding programs that prepare students for the practice of law.”
