In 1988, The Hundred Club of Broward County, Inc. established this endowed scholarship to be awarded to the children of policemen and firemen of Broward County who have been disabled or killed on duty.

Chartered in 1962, The Hundred Club is an international organization dedicated to help provide benefits to spouses and dependents of firefighters and law enforcement officers who have lost their lives or suffered permanent disability in the line of duty.
