Walter McDermon established this scholarship in 1988 to help the College of Engineering co-op students deserving financial assistance. McDermon graduated from UF in 1941 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is retired from Exxon Pipeline Co. in Houston, Texa
