The Dolgoff Scholars
Scholarships or assistantships for undergraduate and graduate full-time students in the College who are interested in teaching or working in broadcasting. Recipients must work at one of the College-sponsored broadcasting properties.
Herbert S. Dolgoff was born in Omaha and attended the University of South Dakota Law School. He was vice president and general counsel for Storz Broadcasting and station manager of WQAM in Miami. Dolgoff owned and operated WCMQ-AM/FM from 1972 to 1986 and WTHZ-FM in Tallahassee with his son Howard. He is remembered as one of the pioneers of Spanish language broadcasting.
His wife, Lois Dolgoff, established this endowment in his memory.
