Neonatology Eminent Scholar Chair
Letter: support professorship in area of neonatal-perinatal medicine.
The Florida Clinical Practice Association Inc. established this fund in 1985 to support an eminent scholar chair in the neonatology division in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida. The chair holder provides clinical services in Shands Children’s Hospital Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Level II (step-down) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and may attend at Labor and Delivery when requested by obstetrics.
The UF Department of Pediatrics began serving children in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia in 1972 and has now expanded its services in Daytona, Pensacola and Waycross, GA. The department’s physicians and health professionals are engaged in all functions of pediatric clinical care and research, including primary care and subspecialties.
