Aristotle and Basilios Michopoulos Scholarship
GA: Support a scholarship in the Center for Greek Studies to be awarded by the Center's scholarship selection committee, with excellence in Greek Studies and financial need being the utmost requirement. It is not a requirement that the scholarship be awarded on a annual basis. (See G/A for additional details).
Aristotle Michopoulos established this fund in 1985 in honor of his father, Basilios Michopoulos. This scholarship is for descendants of residents from Kotylin, Arcadia and Peloponese areas of Greece. Dr. Michopoulos received his master’s degree from Queens College City University of New York in 1976 and his doctoral degree from Florida State University in 1980. Aristotle is a former professor of Greek language courses in the Department of Classics at the University of Florida.
