This fund was created in 1985 and supports the Allen H. Neuharth Library in the College of Journalism and Communications. He is the founder of USA TODAY and created the Freedom Forum, which promotes journalism education, media studies, first amendment protections, professional development of journalists and the advancement of women and minorities in journalism.
