C. Archibald and Alleyne Robertson Library Fund
Support acquisitions of rare works of English Literature.
This fund was established in 1983 for the purpose of supporting acquisitions of rare works of English literature in the George A. Smathers Libraries.
Catherine Archibald was born June 1, 1938. She earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Florida State University in 1960 and a master’s and doctoral degree from Michigan State University in 1963 and 1973 respectively.
Archibald retired in 1999 as a UF lecturer when she was promoted to associate vice president for the Office of Academic Affairs. Her father was the late Alexander M. Archibald, who was a longtime realtor closely tied to the development of Madeira Beach, FL.
