Marie Wolff

Marie Idealie C. Wolff established this fund as a tribute to her husband, William Warren Wolff, and the deep interest they shared in music and medicine. The Wolffs aimed to benefit humanity and science through helping needy, worthy and talented young people in the College of Medicine aspire to professional virtue.

Marie Wolff was an active public service volunteer and was recognized in the 1956 edition of “Florida Women of Distinction.” She served in various Florida organizations, including director of the Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs, chairperson of the Department of American Home and acting state chairperson of Pioneer Women among others.

Students who receive this scholarship are expected to commit themselves to the philanthropic ideals of medical practice–-those of kindness, sincere interest and trust between doctor and patient and charitable service to the poor.
