The Dog Days Dozen

If you know Gainesville, and we think you do, you can understand why we needed something, anything, to get us through July and August. So we put out a call for cuteness overload. Gators, you did not let us down. Here, just 12 of the many adorable submissions we received from our Dog Days of Summer request. —Tina Banner (’99 BSPR)

A bulldog on the winning team. Georgia lays claim to Valor’s breed, but owner Michelle Yovanovic (’92 BSESS, ‘95 MSWSS) makes sure he’s dressed for success.

Hunny is swaddled in Gator spirit, since both her owners graduated from UF. Heather Jackson graduated in 1997 with a bachelor’s in occupational therapy and husband, Lindsey, graduated with a bachelor’s in dairy science in 1994 and DVM in 1998.

UF’s newest mascot? Penny gets a campus visit with Pamela Dickrell (PhD’00, BSMEng, ’03 MSME), a UF faculty member in the engineering department.

How many dog years until football? Marley waits patiently for the start of football season. This curlytop belongs to Jennifer Boffey (’97 BAEd) and Jason Boffey (’97 BSBC, ’09 JD).
