The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida is searching for an enthusiastic and strategic Associate Director/Director of Development to help drive transformative change. In this pivotal role, you will cultivate relationships and secure major gifts of $100,000+ that propel our college’s vision forward. As a dynamic member of the development team, you will work closely with the Senior Director of Development, college leadership, and faculty to craft compelling proposals and strategic fundraising plans. Supporting a Top 6 University and one of Florida’s most prestigious Colleges of Nursing, the Senior Director of Advancement is responsible for the leadership and implementation of the development and alumni affairs program. Reporting to the Dean of the College of Nursing and the Assistant Vice President of Advancement, UF Health Science Center, this position serves as the Chief Fundraiser and subject matter expert for the college, and leads the unit by acquiring principal, leadership, and major gift donors. Simultaneously, this position will lead the advancement team and ensure the success of all development-related programs. Within UF Advancement’s central / decentral system, this position dually reports to the Dean of the College of Nursing and the Assistant Vice President of Development, UF Health. The incumbent will serve as a strategic partner between the College of Nursing and UF Advancement, collaborating with central fundraising efforts, ensuring the overall success of alumni programs and fundraising goals, and promoting a culture of philanthropy within the college’s internal and external constituencies.

The Development Communications Specialist plays a key role in advancing the fundraising mission of the University of Florida (UF) Health Science Center (HSC).
