The Executive Director of Advancement for the Hamilton Center for Classical and Civic Education is responsible for implementation of a broad range of fundraising activities, focused primarily on acquiring principal and major gifts and leading development support programs for the unit. Reporting dually to the Director of the Hamilton Center of UF and the Vice President of Advancement, this position will serve as the chief fundraiser responsible for developing and executing the fundraising program to fulfill the Center’s financial needs. Additionally, the incumbent will serve as a strategic partner between the Center and UF Advancement, collaborating with central fundraising efforts and the overall development of alumni programs and goals to promote a culture of philanthropy.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and ten years of experience.
Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess:
• Five to seven years of major gift experience with documented success in cultivating and soliciting major gifts of $100,000 and above from individual and corporate prospects with campaign experience.
• Prior experience in a college or university setting, enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive research university, and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization.
• Knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and standards.

The College of Medicine, Alumni Affairs team is seeking candidates for a Director of Development opportunity. The Assistant Director of Annual Giving directly manages a portfolio of direct marketing projects for the annual giving program. This includes, but is not limited to, annual giving mass appeals and special campaigns. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving Campaigns this position will manage relationships with central and partner units to effectively and efficiently leverage data to drive decision making and strategy. Additionally, this role will also support fundraising activities for affinity groups as well as other special campaigns as they arise, with a focus on digital strategy and marketing.
