Portfolio Management: The Associate Director of Development is responsible for the development and implementation of the development and alumni programs and will independently perform identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of mid-level gift prospects. He or she will focus on individual prospects and work with leadership corporate and foundation prospects where gift/grant is assessed at $50,000 and above. Strategic Initiatives: Responsible for implementation of a broad range of development and alumni affairs activities including alumni events and special fundraising projects that target individuals, corporations, and foundations to support the annual fund of Biomedical Engineering and the Department of Engineering Education Administrative: Review documentation of donations for accuracy and ensure that donors receive proper gift credit, including gift acknowledgements and related stewardship.
 
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience.
 
Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Three to five years of mid-level and/or major gift fundraising experience with documented success in cultivating and soliciting gifts of $50,000 and above from individual and corporate prospects with campaign experience. Prior experience in a college or university setting, enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive research university, and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization. Knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and standards.

This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Advancement, UF Health Science Center and the Dean of the College of Public Health & Health Professions (PHHP) and is responsible for the strategic leadership, cultivation and development initiatives of the college. Under the leadership of a new Dean, the college is entering an exciting new chapter of growth and innovation and desires to strengthen and engage its development and alumni affairs. The incumbent is responsible for the implementation and oversight of a broad range of programs for PHHP including fundraising, development communications, alumni engagement and volunteer board management. This position will also work in a matrixed organization under the leadership of the Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer for UF Health.
 
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and eight years of experience.
 
Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: At least 8 years of major gift fundraising experience with documented success in cultivating and soliciting major gifts of $100,000 and above from individual and corporate prospects with campaign experience. Prior experience in a college or university setting, enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive research university, and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization. The College of Nursing is seeking an Associate Director of Development who will focus on fundraising for the College of Nursing (CON) through personal contacts and facilitation of annual giving programs, special events, and communications with alumni and friends. Reporting to the Senior Director of Advancement & Communications, this position will identify prospects, cultivate and close both mid-range giving and major gift prospects donors (rated from $10,000 - $500,000). This role will serve as a strategic partner with the College of Nursing and UF Advancement ensuring conformity with the central fundraising efforts and the overall university development and alumni program goals and in promoting a culture of philanthropy by broadening constituents' understanding of the value of giving.
 
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of relevant experience. This position requires a valid Florida driver's license and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Training within 6 months of hire.
 
Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Two to three years of major gift fundraising experience with proven success soliciting gifts of $25,000 and above strongly preferred. Related experience working with volunteers and/or in similar organization. Enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive research university and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization. Knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and standards.
