The Hamilton Center for Classical and Civic Education is a new academic unit at the University of Florida whose mission is to promote civic education and civic discourse and to foster intellectual diversity. Its core purpose is to help students develop the knowledge, habits of thought, analytical ability, and character to be citizens and leaders in a free society. It will do so through faculty hiring, curriculum, public programming, and (in conjunction with the Florida Department of Education) teacher training.
 
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience in Development or a related field; or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and five years of experience in Development or a related field. One year of supervisory experience.
 
Preferred qualifications: Three to five years of major gift fundraising experience with documented success in cultivating and soliciting major gifts of $100,000 and above from individual and corporate prospects with campaign experience. Prior experience in a college or university setting, enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive research university, and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization. Knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and standards.

Serving as a member of the UF Advancement and UF Health development leadership teams, the Assistant/Associate Vice President (AVP) for the College of Medicine will assist in managing the College of Medicine's portion of the university's fundraising campaign. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing programs and infrastructure in support of UF Health and will help oversee select campaign initiatives. He or she will serve as a member of the leadership team that helps lead fundraising programs that will unite stakeholders behind a vision for philanthropy in UF Health. Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President & Chief Advancement Officer (SRAVP/CAO) for UF Health, this position will collaborate with key partners relating, but not limited to annual giving, grateful patients, stewardship, and communications and will work closely with the research team to identify new prospects. He or she will manage a high-level portfolio of leadership and principal gift prospects ($1M+), and will manage his/her team and inspire a culture of high performance, collegiality and professionalism throughout the organization.
 
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and ten years of appropriate experience with demonstrated success soliciting gifts at $1 million and above in an institution of higher education. Valid Florida driver's license
 
Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: A proven strategic leader with a history of successful higher education program leadership in alumni relations, development, or marketing/communications. The Director of Development & External Relations leads the planning and execution of a comprehensive philanthropic program for the George A. Smathers Libraries in coordination with the Dean of University Libraries. This position reports dually to the Dean of University Libraries and the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Development. The Controller for Finance & Accounting will oversee administration of financial and accounting activities of Advancement and the UF Foundation, Inc. Reporting to the Interim Assistant Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (Interim AVP/CFO), this position will serve as the Interim AVP/CFO?s backup liaison for the Audit Committee. The incumbent will be responsible for directing the fiscal functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, the Internal Revenue Service, and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with best financial management techniques and practices. This role will facilitate the continuity of Advancement?s accounting and related systems. Additionally, the Controller will have oversight and management responsibility for Finance & Accounting. This position is eligible to be remote.
 
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and five years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization and seven years of appropriate experience. Requires an active CPA license.
 
Preferred qualifications: Education and Professional Experience: 8+ years of broad operations management experience and demonstrated success with institutional administration, finance or operations. 5+ years of executive level experience and proven leadership. A thorough working knowledge of fundraising operations, finance, accounting, business processes and information technology. Strong technical, administrative, financial and supervisory experience is required. Experience managing data management systems, preferably in higher education and fundraising preferred. Discretion and judgment in working with highly confidential information is necessary.
