Supporting a Top 6 University and one of Florida’s most prestigious Colleges of Nursing, the Senior Director of Advancement is responsible for the leadership and implementation of the development and alumni affairs program. Reporting to the Dean of the College of Nursing and the Assistant Vice President of Advancement, UF Health Science Center, this position serves as the chief fundraiser and subject matter expert for the college.
In addition to the academic leadership, this position will have a dual reporting line to the Assistant Vice President of Development, UF Health. The Senior Director will help drive transformation change by cultivating a donor portfolio, stewarding donors, and soliciting principal, leadership, and major gifts.
This position will lead the College of Nursing advancement team and ensure the success of all development-related programs. The selected candidate will serve as a strategic partner between the College of Nursing and UF Advancement, collaborating with central fundraising efforts, ensuring the overall success of alumni programs and fundraising goals, and promoting a culture of philanthropy within the college’s internal and external constituencies.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and eight years of experience.
A valid Florida driver’s license is required.
Preferred qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Five to seven years of major gift experience with documented success in cultivating and soliciting major gifts of $100,000 and above from individual and corporate prospects with campaign experience.
- Prior experience in a college or university setting, enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive research university, and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization.
