Reporting to the Director of Development, Annual Giving, the Leadership Annual Giving Officer (LAGO)will be focused on qualifying and soliciting leadership annual giving prospects ($1,000-$10,000). The incumbent will identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors by engaging prospects through a variety of mediums (face-to-face, phone or in writing). He or she will also be assigned a special project in conjunction with the phonathon program that serves to facilitate leadership annual giving and pipeline development, such as visit scheduling and gift planning. Additionally, the LAGO will periodically be tasked with special fundraising projects in particular areas, such as parents or student affairs. The LAGO will also work closely with the Office of Gift Planning to support their lead generation and prospect discovery/qualification processes. This position requires significant travel by automobile; maintaining an acceptable driving record that meets insurance requirements and an active Florida driver license must be maintained in order to meet this function.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of relevant experience and/or a strong understanding of development processes and comprehensive campaigns. Current students in the last semester of a Bachelor's degree program are eligible to apply.
Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Minimum one year of fundraising, development, sales or related experience. Prior experience in a university or nonprofit environment. Prior experience in advertising and marketing. General knowledge and understanding of business/economic environment. Understanding of fundraising principles, methods, and standards. Demonstrated successful experience in prospect identification, relationship building, solicitation and stewardship. Ability to work both independently within a broad strategic framework and institutional priorities and cooperatively and collaboratively with numerous and diverse individuals and groups.

The Director of Advancement for the College of Nursing is responsible for assisting in the implementation of a broad range of fundraising and alumni relations activities for the college, focused primarily on soliciting gifts of $100,000 or more. Reporting dually to the Dean of the College of Nursing and Executive Director of Advancement, the incumbent will serve as the chief fundraiser for the college. The incumbent is responsible for developing and executing the college?s fundraising program to fulfill the financial needs as identified by the Dean and in alignment with the strategic initiatives of UF Advancement (UFA). The Director will serve as a strategic partner with the college and UFA, ensuring conformity with central fundraising efforts and promoting a culture of philanthropy by broadening constituents' understanding of the value of giving.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience in Development or a related field; or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and five years of experience in Development or a related field. One year of supervisory experience.
Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Three to five years of fundraising experience with proven success soliciting gifts or related experience strongly preferred. Prior experience in a management position. Prior experience in a college or university setting, enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive research university, and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization.

Portfolio Management/ Fundraising Develop, activate, and deliver on a collaborative fundraising plan with UF Foundation that addresses the needs of each prospective donor, segmented by type (individual, corporate, government, foundation), level (donor levels, various major gift levels, planned giving), and fund (unrestricted annual operating and restricted for specific purposes, including programming, capital and endowment). Identify the best people to help pursue the top prospects, help schedule meetings and/or cultivation/solicitation events and provide guidance and strategy. Independently perform identification, cultivation and solicitation of major gifts prospects where gifts are assessed at $25,000 and above. Strategically manage relationships through face-to-face visits, following best practice and steps to identify, learn donor passions and align interests with UFPA priorities.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience in Development or a related field; or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and five years of experience in Development or a related field.
Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Three to five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in development with a demonstrated track record of successful fundraising in a university and/or performing arts center. Track record of developing, and retaining a high caliber staff, building a team, and creatively organizing and managing them to maximize the support of external constituencies. Excellent organizational and operational skills; confidence and independence in exercising leadership skills and in representing the Museum to external constituents. Ability to construct, articulate, and implement an annual strategic development plan. Experience in developing solicitation strategies.
