Philanthropy Strategy Cultivate relationships with key prospects and volunteers to build engagement with college/unit resulting in philanthropy. Request and analyze data to better customize appeals to increase alumni participation and donor retention. Help coordinate campus visits and engagement opportunities for donors as part of cultivation strategy. Maintain contact with key prospects and volunteers through personal contacts and face-to-face visits. Conduct requested and proactive detailed biographical research for identified prospects using UF Advancement's Advance database, in house files and other sources to determine factors that assist in the further identification of donor prospects. Assist Senior Director with donor stewardship efforts to encourage a culture of philanthropy. Contribute to annual reports, donor events and thank you letter production. Participate in ongoing stewardship efforts by writing thank you letters for key donors and other stakeholders. Enhance giving society, the Dean's Circle, by welcoming new members and identifying prospects. Work closely with scholarship committee on increasing scholarship recipient engagement with donors. Prepare briefing reports. Assist in evaluating the program using established top attributes and metrics in order to produce accurate reports, to guide effective decision making in alignment with Advancement Vision and Values. Stay informed of industry standards, trends, breakthroughs and best practices.
 
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Experience in supporting top level executives, preferably in development, fundraising, alumni relations or higher education. Ability to work strategically, develop and implement constituency programs and activities, along with a talent for motivating volunteers. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse constituencies, meet deadlines, be self-motivated, and work independently. Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision, to exercise independent judgment and personal initiative, and accept responsibility for decisions and actions.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Development Office is seeking a Director of Development. The Director of Development is responsible for implementing a broad range of fundraising activities, primarily focused on soliciting and closing major gifts ($100K+) in support of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in developing and executing the fundraising program to fulfill the financial needs as identified by the Dean of the college, and in alignment with the strategic initiatives of UF Advancement.
 
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience in Development or a related field; or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and five years of experience in Development or a related field.

Portfolio Management Build a portfolio of fundraising prospects at the major gift ($100,000+) and leadership ($1,000,000+) levels and strategically manage relationships through face-to-face visits to bring gift solicitations to closure. Utilize a strategic moves management approach (identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship), averaging 145 personal contacts annually and 10-12 gift solicitations per year. Maximize presence in the geographic region for major gift solicitations, donor engagement. Collaborate with the Office of Estate & Gift Planning team to develop and implement a gifting strategy for qualified donor portfolios at the planned giving level. Northeast Region candidates.
 
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience in Development or a related field; or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and five years of experience in Development or a related field.
 
Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: At least five years of major gift fundraising experience with documented success in cultivating and soliciting major gifts of $100,000 and above from individual and corporate prospects with campaign experience. Prior fundraising experience in the NYC metro area. Reside in the NYC metro area.
