Portfolio Management Build a portfolio of fundraising prospects at the leadership annual gift ($25,000+) and major gift ($100,000+) levels and strategically manage relationships through face-to-face visits. Assistant Director of Development: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of relevant experience. Associate Director of Development: Master's degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience. A valid Florida driver license is required.
Preferred qualifications: Three to five years fundraising experience with proven success soliciting gifts of $25,000 and up strongly preferred. Experience in development, alumni affairs, education, public relations, external affairs and/or higher education. Prior experience in a college or university setting, enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive research university and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization. Knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and standards.

The Development Coordinator will provide high level development and project management support to the Executive Director of Advancement, representing the office to a diverse constituency. This role will plan, direct and execute several complex and integral programs and initiatives that help foster philanthropy and steward donors within University Initiatives including the Division of Student Life, Parent and Family Programs, the Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars (MFOS) program, and specific programs within Academic Affairs, such as the Honors Program, Innovation Academy, and ROTC. The incumbent must have the ability to coordinate multiple projects at a high level of performance, accuracy and speed. This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. The incumbent will integrate all activities and initiatives with Advancement organizational goals, culture, mission, vision, and values.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Experience in supporting top level executives, preferably in development, fundraising, alumni relations or higher education. Flexibility and the ability to work well with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside donors and volunteers. Ability to type 35 cwpm; 45 cwpm preferred. Clerical support skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Excellent organizational skills; demonstrated skill to work on projects with competing deadlines and to establish goals and workload priorities.
