The Assistant Director of Development will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategy for identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with donors (Up to $50k) for the purpose of fundraising and achieving the academic, programmatic and research goals of the College of the Arts at the University of Florida.
Minimum Requirements: Master?s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor?s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience.
Preferred qualifications: Masters Degree and five years of experience in fundraising or a related field. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess: Prior experience in a college, university, or nonprofit setting, enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive research university, and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization. Knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and standards. Prior experience in event and project management. The ability to work strategically, develop and implement constituency programs and activities, along with a talent for motivating volunteers.
