The Assistant Vice President of Development will serve as an integral member of the Development senior leadership team, responsible for developing and driving campaign strategies, annual goals, and prospect strategy that align with both campaign and college/unit goals. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the incumbent will oversee and work closely with senior development officers in colleges/units to identify and cultivate relationships with leadership giving prospects at $1+ million level in the following colleges/units: Institute of Food and Agriculture Science (IFAS), Florida Museum of Natural History (FMNH), College of Health and Human Performance (HHP), Harn Museum of Art, and University Initiatives. Most importantly, the Assistant VP will serve as a strategist, focusing and building several mini-campaign initiatives and setting organizational priorities to create the foundation for prospects in the future.
 
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and ten years of appropriate experience with demonstrated success soliciting gifts at $1 million and above in an institution of higher education.
 
Preferred qualifications: Eight to ten years of senior level, major gift fundraising experience with a proven record of success preferred. Prior experience in a college or university setting, enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive research university and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization. Knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and standards; expertise in developing solicitation strategies.

The Associate/Director of Development will serve as one of the primary development officers on behalf of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) at the University of Florida. Responsibilities include: Portfolio Management Responsible for the overall management of fundraising identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects at the mid-range to major gift levels. Focus on individual prospects and work with leadership, corporate and foundation prospects where gift/grant is assessed at $50,000 and above. Build a portfolio of fundraising prospects and strategically manage relationships through face-to-face visits to bring major solicitations to closure.

Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Three to five years of development, sales, or related experience. Accuracy, attention to detail and a customer service oriented attitude. Ability to work collaboratively and a team player. The Senior Director of Development plays an important role as a member of a highly collaborative development team within the UF Health Office of Development in support of the research, education, and clinical care missions of the UF Health Cancer Center. Under the leadership of the Senior Director of Development for UF Health, and reporting to the UF Health Cancer Center (UFHCC) Director, this position is responsible for the creation and implementation of a broad range of philanthropic strategies to cultivate and solicit private support for the UFHCC and associated departments and divisions serving the research community in meeting the needs of our patients, family members, and caregivers. This position will build and maintain key strategic partnerships with UFHCC senior leadership, UF and UF Health research faculty, UF Health clinician-scientists, and community stakeholders, as well as collaborating UF Advancement (UFA) colleagues.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Marketing & Engagement, the Assistant Director of Social Media & Digital Communities will help direct, create and implement strategic communications, marketing and engagement aimed at University of Florida Advancement (UFA) and the University of Florida Alumni Association's (UFAA) social audiences. The Assistant Director will ensure a multichannel approach to distributing original content and leverage social channels and tools to engage UFA's and UFAA's diverse audiences. This position will serve as a collaborative resource with UFAA, ensuring effective communications between UFAA and the digital communications teams. The incumbent will employ the latest methods and trends to ensure UFA's and UFAA's digital engagement platforms remain at the leading edge.
 
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and four years of relevant experience. Valid Florida driver license
 
Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Prior experience in alumni relations, development, or marketing/communications is strongly preferred. Exceptional writing and editing skills. Must be an outstanding communicator and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills; and the ability to work collegially and interact effectively with a diverse constituency. A successful track record in a related profession, such as marketing, communications, non-profit management, development or membership work combined with a strong affinity for the University of Florida and The Gator Nation, will also be given strong consideration.

The incumbent will serve as the lead auditor and subject matter expert of audits in the UF Advancement Disbursements Office, review and analyze disbursements of donor and UF Advancement funds submitted for use, ensuring that all requests conform to all applicable requirements, policies and procedures. The incumbent will assist the Director of Disbursements & Fund Utilization in executing projects to expand the Department's auditing capabilities; updating risk mitigation strategies; and maintaining Departmental dashboards.

The Director of Digital Communications is responsible for oversight, creation and execution of content for the University of Florida Advancement's (UFA) Web communications, email marketing and digital assets. Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Marketing & Engagement, this position will collaborate with other members of UFA's communications, development and alumni departments to ensure seamless, creative and impactful messaging across platforms. The director will guide e-communications developed by decentralized units to ensure they are in compliance with UFA's editorial guidelines, messaging and visual identity standards. In addition, the incumbent will play a key role in executing UFA's digital strategy, which will require an understanding of best practices in content development, information technology and architecture, site design, search-engine optimization and web analytics, along with strong consensus-building skills.
 
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and eight years of relevant experience.
 
Preferred qualifications: Degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field with writing abilities. Five years of experience producing and directing digital communications; supervisory experience. Knowledge of content development, information technology and architecture, site design, search-engine optimization and Web analytics. Prior experience in communications in development, fundraising, higher education or related areas, and knowledge of advancement philosophy and practices.
