The Director of Corporate Relations and Strategic Partnerships for the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering (HWCOE) serves on the Advancement team and will be primarily responsible for raising corporate philanthropic support from industry partners of the College. The Director will also provide leadership in promoting the College as a leading institution for corporate collaboration and will be responsible for maximizing the relationship across all sectors of the college. This includes identifying key areas of opportunity for philanthropic support and matching potential corporate funders to those opportunities. These responsibilities will be carried out in conjunction with the strategic vision and plan set forth by the Dean and academic leadership. This position will report to the Executive Director of Advancement for the HWCOE.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience in Development or a related field; or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and five years of experience in Development or a related field.
Preferred qualifications: Three to five years of documented fundraising experience preferably in foundation and/or corporate relations. Experience working in a complex environment serving many internal clients and external constituents with the ability to network throughout a University, serving as a resource and identifying resources. Proven ability to initiate relationships and interact effectively with the business and foundation community. Familiar with foundation structure, finances and procedures. An appreciation for and support of diversity in the work place in all of its forms.

The Associate Director of Development and External Relations reports directly to the Director of Development & External Relations for the George A. Smathers Libraries and, through the Director, to the Dean of University Libraries and the Senior Director of Advancement, University Initiatives, at the University of Florida Advancement. Working collaboratively with development colleagues outside of the Libraries and the library associate deans, chairs, and faculty, the individual will support library efforts that encompass annual giving to mid-level gifts, donor stewardship, development of public support groups, and fundraising event coordination. The Associate Director of Development and External Relations will also attend strategic engagement events in support of Smathers Libraries fundraising goals.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor?s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of relevant experience; or a master?s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of relevant experience
Preferred qualifications: Two to three years of external affairs experience with success in cultivating relationships with individuals and corporate prospects. Prior experience in a college or university setting, enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive research university, and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization. Knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and standards. Expertise in developing solicitation strategies. Ability to work strategically, develop and implement constituency programs and activities, along with a talent for motivating volunteers.

This is a highly visible and responsible position that provides executive administrative support to the Executive Director of Talent Management. Additionally, this position provides general administrative and project management support to the Talent Management Department. The successful candidate will have an integral role on the Talent Management team, and will be responsible for assisting in supporting Talent Management initiatives with specific focus on Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, HR Excellence, and Project Management. He or she will have the ability to act at a high level both independently and collaboratively to accomplish goals.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience.
Preferred qualifications: Strong business acumen. Experience in a fund-raising organization or similar complex university program. Experience in human resources, organizational development or talent management. Demonstrated project management experience in a multi-operational and multi-disciplinary environment. Demonstrated understanding of the alignment between talent acquisition, development, and retention activities, productivity, and the ability to reach the goals of the organization. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse constituencies, meet deadlines, be self-motivated, and work independently
