Director of Development & Real Estate - Gift Planning

The Director of Development and Real Estate is primarily responsible for managing the University of Florida Foundation?s extensive real estate portfolio. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Development/Senior Philanthropic Advisor, Gift Planning, the position will cultivate relationships with planned giving prospects to successfully solicit and close planned gifts and serve as the financial analyst of the UFF and drive strategic planning for the acceptance of gifts of real estate and most effective use of property. He/She will also manage the real estate aspects of properties owned by the UFF as well as provide strategic insight to the Gift Planning team.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience in Development or a related field; or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and five years of experience in Development or a related field. Valid Florida driver's license by time of hire.
Preferred qualifications: Three to five years of business development and/or real estate operations experience. Real Estate license is a plus. Capacity for learning in the field of estate planning, tax, financial and gift planning. Exceptional project management skills. The ability to be a relationship builder and a self-starter who values team work. Ability to work collaboratively and a team player. Competency in problem solving.

Director of Development, Department of Surgery - Medicine

This position reports directly to the Associate Vice President, Development & Alumni Relations, UF Health, and is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding prospects for the Department of Surgery and UF Health with an emphasis on individuals capable of making $100,000 or greater commitments. The incumbent is also responsible for implementation of a broad range of support programs for the Department of Surgery, including physician and alumni engagement, the Department of Surgery Woodward Society, and cultivation and stewardship activities.
Minimum Requirements: Master?s degree in appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience in Development or a related field; or a bachelor?s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and five years of experience in Development or a related field.
Preferred qualifications: Three to five years of major gift fundraising experience with documented success in cultivating and soliciting major gifts of $100,000 and above from individual prospects. Prior experience in a medical center setting working with physicians/healthcare providers and grateful patients and families. Prior experience in a college or university setting, enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive research university with an academic medical center, and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization. Knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and standards.

Gifts & Records Assistant Manager - Gifts and Records

The Assistant Manager of Gifts and Records will serve as an integral member of the leadership team and reports directly to the Gifts and Records Manager. This is a highly visible and responsible position that provides independent judgment, critical thinking, and operational decisions for gift and biographical management. He or she will integrate all activities and initiatives with Advancement organizational goals, culture, mission, vision and values. The successful candidate will have the ability to act at a high level both independently and collaboratively to accomplish goals aligned with the strategic plan while providing oversight and management responsibility for 7.5 FTE Gifts and Records Processors.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor?s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
Preferred qualifications: At least three years of experience in a professional, customer service, team-oriented environment. Ability to use sound judgment and exercise strict confidentiality and discretion in all matters. Data entry, proofreading, grammar, and spelling skills. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work accurately and efficiently with minimum supervision
