Top Colleges Doing the Most for the American Dream

The New York Times ranked UF 6th among both public and private universities in helping low-income students succeed. Importantly, the Times’ methodology takes into account the number of low-income students who actually graduate. UF was the only public university not in the University of California system ranked among the top 10. UF ranked above Harvard, Princeton and Stanford Universities.

Growth in Faculty

UF is growing its ranks of world-class faculty by 500 new positions, reducing the size of classes and student-to-faculty ratio and growing scholarship and research.

UF received a record $838 million in research awards in FY2018, up 22%.

UF has raised nearly $1.7 billion in philanthropy toward its $3 billion campaign goal in its first four years. Only 6 public universities are engaged in capital campaigns of $3 billion or more.

UF is a leader in four-year and six-year graduation rates.
