Online Giving for the Center for Latin American Studies

The mission of the UF Center for Latin American Studies is to advance knowledge about Latin America and the Caribbean and its people throughout the Hemisphere, and to enhance the scope and quality of research, teaching, and outreach in Latin American, Caribbean and Latino Studies at the University of Florida.  The Center, established in 1930, is one of the country’s preeminent area studies programs.  It has 20 Center-based faculty and professional staff in addition to over 150 affiliate faculty in 50 departments and schools across campus.  The Center offers an undergraduate certificate and minor in Latin American Studies, a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies (MALAS), a joint MALAS/JD degree, and graduate certificates in Latin American Studies and Tropical Conservation and Development.  Center-based and affiliate faculty lead cross-campus interdisciplinary research and graduate training programs on themes national and international importance.
