Endowed Scholarships & Fellowships
Honorable George L. and Gloria F. Proctor Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was created in 2011 by the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association. The Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association benefits from the volunteerism of Jacksonville's bankruptcy practitioners and is an impressive and distinguished organization that has held true to its initial purpose as set forth in its articles of incorporation - "To provide an association through which members of the bankruptcy bar may join together to improve the administration of justice and to serve the public".
The fund shall be used to support scholarship awards to students at the College who provide a writing sample (1000 word limit) focused on a Chapter 13 issue, for possible publication in the National Association of the Chapter 13 Trustee's (NACTT) Quarterly Magazine. Preference will be giving to those who can best express an interest in practicing bankruptcy law in the Jacksonville area either by statement of intent or demonstration of prior residence in the area.
