Endowed Scholarships & Fellowships
1984 Champions Endowment
Gator Booster members established this scholarship to honor UF's first SEC Championship football team. In the 1984 season, the Gators played a record of 9-1-1. Victories included an emotional 27-0 win over Georgia. With a 25-17 win over Kentucky, Gator fans filled the field and UF secured the SEC Title. Also in this season, UF quarterback Kerwin Bell had a passing efficiency that ranked best in NCAA history for freshmen.
Though the 1984 SEC title was later revoked due to a breach of NCAA rules, the Gators retained their status as the outstanding team in the Southeastern Conference.
Athletic scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the University of Florida Athletic Association.
