James E. Dykes Scholarship Fund
History
This scholarship was established in 1997 by James "Jim" E. Dykes and his wife, Yvonne. Jim Dykes has been long associated with UF, having earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1962. Dykes was the founding chairman of UF's Engineering Advisory Council. Dykes is a former senior executive of several companies in the semi-conductor field and has served on the Board of Directors of Exar Corp., Cree Inc. and the Thomas Group Inc.
Criteria
Students in electrical and computer engineering.
