John W. Donahoo Scholarship Fund

History

This fund was established by Jeanne R. Donahoo of Jacksonville, Fla., in memory of her husband, John W. Donahoo, to assist students in the Levin College of Law. John Donahoo was a 1931 alumnus of UF and was one of Florida's first attorneys to specialize in tax law. He was a senior partner in the firm Donahoo, Donahoo and Ball when he retired in 1990. He was a member of the UF Foundation Board of Directors from 1963-93 and served as president from 1966-68. Donahoo received the UF Distinguished Alumnus Award. He was a member of the Jacksonville University Board of Trustees and served as chairman from 1972-74 and was honored as a Champion of Higher Independent Education in Florida.

Criteria

Incoming law school students; based on financial need, merit and renewable for the second and third year.
