Edith P. Pitts Music Scholarship Fund
History
Edith P. Pitts was a UF alumna and longtime secretary to three presidents of the University of Florida. Her sister, Sadie Howard, established an endowed scholarship as a memorial to Ms. Pitts' fondness of and devotion to the University of Florida.
Criteria
Potential recipients are nominated by faculty members. Student must be classed a 3FA or higher, must have a minimum GPA of 3.00, and in addition to academic excellence, must be an outstanding performer and recognized for having assumed a leadership role in Department of Music or College of Fine Arts activities.
