The Director of Broaden Gator Engagement will execute the strategies and tactics within the Strategic Plan to expand the level of engagement to the entire Gator Nation. He or she will develop new work plans to ensure that the UFAA is relevant to all of our audiences and will identify where and how Gators want to engage. Some responsibilities are: - Evaluate the current affiliate group resources to create a tiered structure, which will allow for the addition of new groups; Assess the top student organizations and already formed alumni groups to identify who would benefit from an official affiliate alumni group and have a significant impact on membership. - Develop a tiered structure for Gator Clubs to accommodate various levels of involvement (e.g., viewing party clubs, fundraising clubs, etc.) Research alumni demographics and identify needs to determine where to create new Gator Clubs. - Evaluate the UFAA travel program to enhance travelers’ experiences, increase number of participants and capitalize on faculty involvement; Utilize the brick program to increase engagement and membership (roughly 2,000 bricks available). - Launch a mentor/mentee network for alumni and students to interact and communicate. - Partner with Colleges and units that currently provide awards and recognition to create a UFAA presence. - Train Florida Cicerones with compelling speaking points that demonstrate the uniqueness of The Gator Nation on campus tours; Strategically increase UFAA awards and recognition programs. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. A criminal background check will be conducted. Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: •Three to five years relevant experience. •History of successful higher education program leadership in alumni relations, development, or marketing/communications. •Excellent written and oral communication skills; interpersonal skills; a self-starter; ability to work collegially and interact effectively with diverse constituencies inside and outside the university. •Appreciation and history of active support of diversity in the workplace; proven success working with volunteers; excellent strategic planning and project management skills; experience in a data-driven environment; organizational skills; ability to lead, influence and motivate others.•Accuracy, attention to detail, a customer service-oriented attitude. •Proficient in: Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, WWW browsers,Internet Explorer, E-mail and social media. •Ability and willingness to travel. Valid driver license and good driving record.

The Assistant Director of Events for Alumni Affairs will execute the strategies and tactics within the Strategic Plan to create meaningful experiences for alumni and friends, with the goal of driving membership and cultivating donors. He or she will work closely with the Director of Events to develop strategies that ensure that all events will have impact and are memorable to the attendees. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. A criminal background check will be conducted. Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess:•One to three years experience in planning and coordinating events and reunion •Experience in higher education alumni relations •Knowledge of UF campus organizations and community •Ability to work strategically, develop and implement constituency programs and activities, along with a talent for motivating volunteers •Ability to work collaboratively and a team player •Competency in problem solving •Excellent oral/ written communications and interpersonal skills; effective time management and organizational skills •Accuracy, attention to detail and a customer service oriented attitude are essential for success in this position •Working knowledge in: Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, WWW browsers, preferably Internet Explorer, E-mail. Working knowledge of a donor database, contact management and tracking system •The ability and willingness to travel are necessary. A valid driver license and good driving record are essential.
