The Director of Development, College of Engineering is responsible for assisting the Senior Director of Development, College of Engineering, in the general administration of the College's development program. Incumbent is responsible for the implementation of the development and alumni programs for the College of Engineering. He/she will independently perform identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift prospects. He/she will focus on individual prospects and will work with leadership corporate and foundation prospects where gift/grant is assessed at $100,000 and above. Minimum requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. Preferred qualifications: Three to five years successful prior fund-raising experience in a college or university setting is strongly preferred. Prior work with volunteers and soliciting major gifts of $100,000 and above would be beneficial.

The position of Senior Director of Development for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is responsible for the general administration of the College's development program. As the chief major gifts fundraiser the incumbent will plan, organize and direct programs to identify, cultivate, secure, and provide stewardship for the College’s major gifts program. He or she will manage a staff of six employees including four development professionals and two administrative support staff. Minimum requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of related experience; or a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience. Preferred qualifications: 10 years of successful major gift fundraising experience in a college or university setting is strongly preferred. Excellent management skills, oral and written communications skills, and strong organizational skills are required as well as strong professional ethics and personal integrity. The Director of Development, College of Medicine is responsible for assisting the Senior Director of Development College of Medicine Jacksonville and the Associate Dean of Development & Alumni Affairs, College of Medicine in the general administration of the College of Medicine Jacksonville's development program. The incumbent is responsible for implementation of a broad range of support programs for the University of Florida, College of Medicine - Jacksonville focused primarily on acquiring major gifts, and including communications, public support groups and College services. Independently performs prospect identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, with emphasis on prospects for gifts of $50 thousand to $5 million. Minimum requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. The incumbent will participate in strategic planning for development and help coordinate Library Leadership Board activities. The incumbent is responsible for implementation of a broad range of major gift fundraising activities targeting individuals, corporations and foundations to identify, cultivate, and secure major gifts. Extensive travel is required. Minimum requirements: MA/MS degree in appropriate area of specialization or a bachelor's degree in the same and two years of related experience. Preferred qualifications: Three years of fundraising experience with a proven track record in corporate and major gift fundraising in a college or university setting is strongly preferred, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to organize, establish objectives and priorities and achieve goals in an aggressive organizational environment; broad experience in capital campaign execution and follow-up; ability to work comfortably in a decentralized organizational environment; ability to organize and work effectively with volunteers; computer literacy; ability and willingness to travel and work some weekends. The Executive Director is a senior level position for the University of Florida Foundation and UF Alumni Association. This highly visible position is responsible for management of all alumni programming and requires extensive travel throughout the state of Florida and the nation to represent the University of Florida and the UF Alumni Association. The incumbent in this position formulates and recommends policy concerning alumni interests and involvement with the University. The incumbent formulates, directs and implements policies on a broad range of programs for the University of Florida and the UF Alumni Association. The incumbent will work extensively with volunteers and oversees the following Alumni programs: Membership, National Merit Scholar recruitment, Gator Clubs, Special Events designed to promote the academic and non-academic alumni activities of the University, Outreach Programs, Alumni Publications, Back to College, Florida Young and Involved, Travel Programs, Marketing Programs and Student Programs. Minimum requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience required. Preferred qualifications: The incumbent should have senior management experience and experience working with volunteers in a university setting and Alumni Affairs experience is preferred. Accuracy, attention to detail and a service-oriented attitude are important. Discretion and judgment in working with highly confidential information is necessary. Should be creative and possess problem-solving skills, work well with others in a team-oriented organization. Should act in a leadership role, handle multiple priorities and work pressure, and understand the needs of staff and coworkers. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
