The Director of Development, Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering is responsible for assisting the Senior Director of Development, College of Engineering, in the general administration of the department and College development program.  The incumbent is responsible for the development and implementation of the development and alumni programs for Electrical and Computer Engineering.  Minimum requirements: A master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization or bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience required.  Preferred requirements: Three to five years successful major gift fundraising experience in a college or university setting is strongly preferred. The ability to work strategically with experience developing relationships, prior work with volunteers and soliciting major gifts of $100,000 is strongly desired.  Excellent oral and written communications skills are essential. The incumbent should be computer literate in these areas:  Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, WWW browsers, and E-mail.  Working knowledge of a donor database, contact management and tracking system is highly preferred.  Professionalism in appearance and demeanor is required.  Extensive travel is required.  A valid driver’s license and good driving record are essential.

Title: Assistant Director, Florida Fund

The Assistant Director of Florida Fund manages and executes the year-long Phone Program. The Phone Program uses a staff of more than 100 paid student employees to solicit support from alumni and friends of the University of Florida.   Minimum requirements: A master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. One to two years of related experience is preferred. The ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision, to deal with the public in a professional manner and to communicate clearly and accurately is required.  Preferred requirements: Experience in annual giving or in a related development field will be given preference. Telefundraising experience preferred. Previous experience supervising students is preferred. Knowledge of an automated telefunding system (preferably CampusCall) is desired. The incumbent should be computer literate in these areas in a PC environment: Windows, MS Office Suite, WWW Browsers, Email (preferably Outlook), CampusCall. The incumbent will work 1 pm to 10 pm, Monday through Friday. Considerable morning and weekend work are required for satisfactory performance. Occasional travel may be required.

The Director of Club Relations and Special Interest Groups is responsible for various alumni programs and activities on behalf of the University of Florida and the Alumni Association.  Minimum requirements: A master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience required.  Three to five years experience in higher education alumni relations is strongly desired.  Preferred qualifications: Strong written and oral communication skills; experience working with volunteer groups; managing events, and experience working with newsletters and home pages on the Internet also required.  The incumbent must be available to work some evenings, weekends and holidays. Public speaking experience desired.  Extensive travel is required.  A valid driver’s license and a good driving record is required. Travel expenses are reimbursed through a standard accounting system. The incumbent should be computer proficient in these areas:  Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, WWW browsers, preferably Internet Explorer, E-mail.

The Coordinator, Research Programs/Services serves as Research Analyst and provides professional research and information services to support the fundraising goals and objectives of the University of Florida Foundation.  The incumbent will collect, organize and analyze information relating to potential prospects for gifts to the University. Utilize a variety of printed reference materials, on-line databases, Internet, and governmental or other agency resources to obtain information on prospects or funding sources. Willingness to travel out-of-town for advanced training as needed. Minimum requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.  Preferred qualifications: One to three years related work experience, such as financial or legal research, and experience in a non-profit organization helpful. Knowledge of philanthropy and prospect research desirable. Accuracy and attention to detail and a service oriented attitude are essential for success in this position. Excellent communication skills; writing and editing ability important, as well as, competence in interpreting biographical, corporate, and foundation information. Strong computer skills (Excel and Access knowledge preferred) and proficiency with electronic research (including Internet) and techniques to gather in-depth information on potential and existing donors desired.
