Preferred qualifications: Three to five years successful prior fund-raising experience in a college or university setting is strongly preferred. The position of Senior Director of Development for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is responsible for the general administration of the College's development program. As the chief major gifts fundraiser the incumbent will plan, organize and direct programs to identify, cultivate, secure, and provide stewardship for the College’s major gifts program. He or she will manage a staff of six employees including four development professionals and two administrative support staff. Minimum requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of related experience; or a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience. Preferred qualifications: 10 years of successful major gift fundraising experience in a college or university setting is strongly preferred. Excellent management skills, oral and written communications skills, and strong organizational skills are required as well as strong professional ethics and personal integrity. Will serve as advisor to the Dean and the faculty of the College on fundraising matters and coordinate development activities between the College and the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs and UF Foundation. Minimum requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. Preferred qualifications: Three to five years of fundraising experience with a proven track record of success in major gift fundraising in a college or university setting and/or alumni relations experience strongly preferred.
