Mission Statement: To involve women as leaders in the life of UF; to educate, engage, inspire and facilitate women as leaders and philanthropists for the University.
At the University of Florida, women — whether students, alumnae, professors, administrators, or philanthropists and volunteers — have helped define this university. In UF’s case, it can be said confidently that behind this remarkable university there are thousands upon thousands of extraordinary women.
The UF Women Initiative celebrates these women and their contributions to UF, higher education and society as a whole. The Initiative was established in 2010 to bring together women who touch or are touched by the university and to encourage more involvement with UF.
