History
Family and friends of August Martin "Marty" Karle established this scholarship in 2007 to honor Marty and support deserving students at the University of Florida. Marty grew up Catholic in Waycross, FL and graduated with honors with an associate's degree from Central Florida Junior College. A member and three-time president of the Fightin' Gator Touchdown Club, he was a true gator fan. He will be remembered for his love for cooking for large groups of people, college football, fishing, deer hunting, and his work. At the time of his passing, Marty worked as a salesman with PCS Joint venture. He is survived by his parents A.A. "Gus" and Barbara Hipp Karle and his daughter Elizabeth Karle.
